It was a cold and rainy night in Asbury Park. I was at myoffice all day working
on a case for some guy who wanted hiswife watched because he thought she might
be going out onhim. I had her dead to rights, pictures of her and hr boss going
in and out of the Pink Flamingo, a club down onthe strip, clandestine meetings
and phone calls......
It was around 8pm when there ws a knock onmy office door. When she walkedin the
whole room lit up. She was a vision of lovliness in her mink wrap and red satin
dress, and she had the longest legs I've ever had the pleasure to gaze upon. She
walked slowly, teasingly, ovr tomy desk and sat down on the edge, her short
dress sliding upto reveal her tantalizing legs.
When she spoke, her voice was that ofan angel in distress, almost crying,
begging for my favor.... "I know you've been followingme" she said. "Myhusband
treats me badly and my boss is such a nice guy, but I swear, I've never done
anythng wrong with him".
Her pouty lips were inviting an her posture was very seductive as she shifted hr
position on my desk. I had all I could doto keep myself from hugging her right
then and there. She leaned towards me, licked her lips and spoke ina soft
voice...... "I have a proposition for you"
I couldn't take it anymore. With one motion, my arm swept the top of my dsk
clean. I stood up and went to her open and inviting arms. I gently lowered
herdown onto the desk surface, and as she gazed up in to my eager eyes, she
said..... "If you give up on this case and tell my husband that you have nothing
bad to report about me, drop th whole thing, Iwill make it worth yor while"
"Oh really?" I said. "What exactly wil you do forme?" I said, with anticipation
in my eyes, ready to hve the time ofmylife with this beautiful creature I now
held inmy arms.
"You and I will scale the heights, we will goto heaven and come back, the earth
will move when I take you places you've never been befor, I will take you to
see......

What happened next I can't write here, since The Waterfront Duo stands for
Goodness and wholesome family values, but suffice tosay that a week later, when
the fireworks were al over and I was able to walk again,,,,,,wee were able togo
see The Waterfront Duo a The Draughting Table to help bringg in 2010 on New
Year's Eve.

I awoke witha hangover that morning,,,,too many long island ice teas,,,or was it
appletinis,,,,cnt remembr now. I dont remembr what happned the night befre either,
excpt that she was gone.
Out of my life as quickly as sh came into it. Hr husband had found out abot ourr
little soiree and our nights outt with th WATERFRONT DUO and he dumped her and
fired me. She gt on a jet plane for Key West wth a guy at least 10 years youngrr
thn herself aand left me a note,,,,,
"I will always cherish the memory of what we had, and our nights together dancing
and partying with the Waterfront Duo."
Ahh, yes,,,,the Waterfront Duo,,,,I cn only reminisce noww and live my life wothout
her, but I'll never stop going to se the WATERFRONT DUO, and the wonderful music
that brought us togethr. The End.

Sunday, July 4th and Sunday September 5th (Labor Day Weekend). On these dates
we will be OUTSIDE on the new deck, and it'll be an afternoon peformance, just
like the old days at Wharfside or Clark's!
We saw the deck this past Saturday when we played there and it's almost
finished,,,what they've done so far with it is beautiful!
